Student Handbook

The Student Handbook provides you with information about studying with Competitive Solutions Australia Pty Ltd. which includes course information, support services, and essential policy information. It is important that you read through this document carefully to ensure you understand what is required when you are studying with us as well as your rights and responsibilities as a student. In addition to the Student Handbook, it is important that you also read through a copy of the Course Outline for the course you are interested in – these documents compliment each other and fully inform you about our services and courses (please refer to the Courses tab for further information).

Complaints & Appeals Policy

Under Standard 6 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisation’s 2015, Competitive Solutions Australia Pty Ltd. is required to ensure that we have an effective system in place to deal with complaints and appeals. As part of this requirement, we have a Complaints and Appeals Policy that details the process for submitting and handling complaints and appeals within our organisation.

Fees, Refunds & Cancellation Policy

Under Standard 5 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisation’s 2015, Competitive Solutions Australia Pty Ltd. is required to provide students information prior to enrolment or the commencement of training and assessment (whichever comes first), specifying:

    • fees that must be paid to the RTO
    • payment terms and conditions including deposits and refunds
    • student rights as a consumer including cooling-off periods
    • the student right to obtain a refund for services not provided in the event the:
      • arrangement is terminated early
      • the RTO fails to provide the agreed services.

Privacy Policy

Competitive Solutions Australia Pty Ltd. is committed to protecting student privacy with particular reference to the collection, use, storage, security and disclosure of personal information – our policy adheres to the requirements in the Privacy Act (1988) Schedule 1 – Australian Privacy Principles. In addition, Competitive Solutions Australia Pty Ltd. adheres to the Data Provision Requirements 2012 and collects personal information from students which is disclosed to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).
