5s Implementation Program

5S is a system of work organisation originally developed in Japan based around housekeeping principles.

A close translation of the five stages in the housekeeping approach is:

• Sort
• Set in order
• Shine
• Standardise
• Sustain

This 4 day implementation of 5S is very comprehensive. The 4 days are delivered 1 day per week over (a minimum of) 4 weeks at the workplace. This allows for participants to complete set targets for each of the 5S.  Reviews of the work completed will form part of the training.

This program covers lean principles and applying them to the workplace.  A workplace tour at the beginning of the training will set up the 5S activities for the weeks that follow.
